Job Title: Warehouse Specialist

Job Summary:

Devonshire is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Specialist to join our team. As a Warehouse Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our warehouse facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles and stacking empty pallets
  • Moving stocks and items of mail packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following stock control instructions, checking loads are secure
  • Performing daily equipment checks, for example recharging the truck's battery, helping to load and unload trucks by hand where necessary, performing other warehouse tasks like picking stock and moving it to the appropriate location on the factory floor and dealing with stock returns
  • Other tasks can include collecting full bins which can range up to 660L sized bins and moving these to our goods yard to dispose of
  • Disposing of waste can include bailing shredded paper waste or compacting

Working Hours:

Nights: Week 1 – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, contracted hours, working 7.00pm to 7.00am, working 11 hours per shift

Week 2 – Monday and Tuesday, working 7.00pm to 7.00am, working 11 hours per shift

Requirements:

  • Previous Warehouse Operative experience
  • You must hold a valid counterbalance licence
  • IT Literate & competent in the use of MS Excel
  • Ability to lift and manoeuvre items, such as boxes, of up to 22KG
