Falkirk Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Support for Learning Assistant at the Advanced level. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in enhancing pupil achievement and providing teacher and pupil support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide teacher and pupil support to enhance pupil achievement
  • Undertake a wide range of whole school support activities, including general supervision, safety, care, and wellbeing of pupils
  • Carry out administrative tasks as required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Good communication, organisational, and ICT skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Experience of working with teenage young people, ideally in an educational setting
  • Ability to undertake training in Manual Handling and First Aid
  • PVG scheme membership

Working Hours and Terms:

27.5 hours per week on a term-time basis
