Key Responsibilities- Lead the nursing team in developing and implementing high standards of nursing care, providing support and guidance to colleagues and relatives.
- Take responsibility for a service user group, consulting with the multi-disciplinary team, service users, and family/carers to ensure effective care planning and delivery.
- Assess the impact of policy implementation on care delivery and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans using evidence-based guidelines, in consultation with the Head of Clinical Services/Ward Manager.
- Ensure accurate and contemporaneous records of service user consultations, in line with legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Provide formal documented supervision/clinical supervision to all clinical staff, promoting and demonstrating the highest clinical standards.
- Identify training needs and support staff in their development, promoting a learning environment that encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Provide an educational role to patients, carers, families, and colleagues, sharing knowledge and expertise through formal and informal teaching.
- Registered Nurse or degree-level qualification.
- Experience in specialist palliative or neurological care, depending on service requirements.
- Proven skills in leading, building, and influencing in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector.
- Demonstrable experience of practicing in a self-directed and highly motivated way.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate difficult messages to service users and their families.
- Negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Able to effectively manage change and manage performance.
- An ability to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting.
- A competitive salary of £20.69 to £23.44 per hour, depending on experience.
