Credit Controller - 8 Month Contract

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join our esteemed client's team in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. As a key member of the credit control team, you will be responsible for processing sales invoices, reconciling customer accounts, and chasing overdue payments.

Responsibilities:
  1. Process sales invoices and submit them as required using customer portals, management systems, emailing, and posting.
  2. Reconcile customer accounts and send statements out on a timely basis.
  3. Ensure accounts are maintained within agreed terms and credit limits.
  4. Chase corporate and SME clients over overdue invoices via telephone.
  5. Report old outstanding debt to the Credit Team Leader and communicate any potential debtor issues.
  6. Indicate to the Group Credit Manager where necessary if legal action is required.
  7. Handle all customer queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  8. Liaise with different departments within the business to resolve issues.
  9. Manage high volumes of data using advanced Excel skills.
  10. Maintain records of customer accounts and payment terms.
  11. Maintain a database of customer information on Excel and NetSuite.
  12. Work closely with the accounts team, keeping records up-to-date, processing payments, and assisting with month-end tasks.
Requirements:
  1. Recent experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
  2. Excellent negotiation skills and a professional telephone manner.
  3. Strong spoken and written communication skills.
  4. Significant numerical knowledge and advanced skills in MS Excel and Word.
  5. Ability to work independently or within a team.
  6. Reliable and approachable with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment. They should possess excellent negotiation skills and a professional telephone manner. Strong spoken and written communication skills are also essential. The successful candidate will have significant numerical knowledge and advanced skills in MS Excel and Word. They will be able to work independently or within a team and demonstrate reliability and approachability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

A salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, plus benefits including 23 days holiday, pension, and the potential for hybrid working, makes this an attractive opportunity for the right candidate.
