Respiratory Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Respiratory Administrator to join our team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Elective Admissions team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our theatre lists and patient flow.
Main Duties- Manage theatre lists, ensuring 85% utilization and replacement of cancelled operations.
- Coordinate patient admissions, achieving patient waiting time targets and providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Provide support to colleagues as needed, ensuring a high level of teamwork and communication.
We are looking for an individual with:
- Extensive clerical experience in a customer care environment.
- Proven telephone skills to the general public.
- Ability to understand and comply with detailed procedures.
- GCSE English and Maths level 4 or above or equivalent experience.
- Clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills.
- Friendly and caring manner, with the ability to work in a team.
East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is a valued service provider, responsible for scheduling patient admission dates for all elective surgery. Our goal is to achieve 85% theatre utilization for approximately 90 consultants.
