The Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled news editor to lead our coverage of the Middle East and Africa region. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our news strategy for this critical region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission and edit high-quality news stories from our team of correspondents and freelancers
  • Work closely with our editorial team to develop and implement our news strategy for the Middle East and Africa region
  • Collaborate with our digital team to produce engaging and interactive content for our online platforms
  • Act as a key point of contact for our correspondents and freelancers, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Present the World agenda to our morning editorial conference

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the Middle East and Africa region, as well as a proven track record of editing high-quality news stories. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
