Senior Data Governance Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Governance Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our professional services division, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in achieving sustainable growth, compliance, and innovation through robust data governance.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Data Governance Consultant:

  • Work closely with clients' Governance teams to prioritize subdomains and forge strong relationships with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and SMEs.
  • Create Data Owners onboarding packs and host kick-off meetings to explain program goals and next steps.
  • Attend workshops to identify and prioritize critical data assets and create tracking systems to monitor progress.
  • Set up ways of working with Data Owners, including regular forum/touch points and issue escalation processes.
  • Support the formation of Data Governance teams, including team structure, role descriptions, and technical interview packs.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in embedding data governance programs in medium to large organizations, preferably in engineering and manufacturing.
  • Experience leading engagement with businesses to drive data governance and management solutions.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, including communicating technical concepts to business audiences.
  • Experience defining and rolling out effective data governance and management controls.
  • Experience using data management technologies such as metadata management, data cataloging, and data lineage.
