Job Title: Automotive Machine Operator

Location: Birmingham

Job Type: Temp-to-perm

Salary: £15.90 per hour

Shift: Nights (2100-0600), Monday-Thursday

The ideal candidate will be responsible for running a CNC Laser weld, amongst a range of other equipment, including water jets, hydraulic presses, and manual machinery. Key tasks include maximising stock utilisation, minimising scrap or damaged items, and ensuring all computer-based stock control systems are fully maintained and accurate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating robot welders
  • Reading from technical plans and drawings
  • Handling products in the most appropriate way to eliminate waste and damage, in line with health and safety hazards
  • Ensuring all computer-based stock control systems are fully maintained and accurate
  • Ability to programme machines to set-up, and to prepare and cut materials
  • Maintaining and continuously building knowledge on all aspects of raw materials handled by the site

Requirements:

  • At least 12 months experience operating machinery (CNC or manual)
