Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Writer Specialist to join our team at Sureserve Group. This exciting opportunity will involve working on every element of the bid process, with a focus on delivering high-quality proposals that meet and exceed customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in bid writing, specifically in the energy efficiency, engineering, or construction sectors. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for developing and writing bespoke proposals that showcase our company's capabilities and expertise.

The successful candidate will possess strong creative writing skills, excellent computer skills, and the ability to translate technical information into clear and concise language. They will also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional results.

About the Role:

  • Write high-quality proposals that meet customer needs and aspirations.
  • Develop and compile bespoke proposals that demonstrate a clear understanding of client questions.
  • Translate technical information into clear and concise language.
  • Review responses against the scoring matrix and criteria provided.
  • Support the business development team in preparing marketing literature and proposal submissions.

Requirements:

  • Previous bid writing experience in energy efficiency, engineering, or construction sectors.
  • Demonstrable strong creative writing skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced MS Word and a strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

  • A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
