Lead Mental Health Specialist

As a Lead Mental Health Specialist at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a critical role in providing specialist trauma-informed mental health support to young people with complex difficulties. You will work closely with the Specialist CAMHS team to implement therapeutic care plans and provide supervision to Mental Health workers.
Main Responsibilities- You will take a daily lead on clinical matters for young people, ensuring their safety and well-being are prioritized.
- You will develop and implement policy relating to therapeutic care practice, working closely with the CAMHS team.
- You will provide specialist mental health consultation and advice to all staff, supporting them in implementing trauma-informed care practices.
- You will assess and manage ongoing risks, ensuring that this is done in collaboration with the young person and their carers.
- You will lead on the implementation of care plans, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements- You must be a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Allied Health professional, Psychologist, or Psychotherapist with current registration (mental health, LD, Adult) appropriate to the job role.
- You must have a degree or diploma level supplemented by specialist qualification, training, experience, or courses to Master's level equivalent relevant to the care group.
- You must be able to manage a caseload of patients with complex mental health needs and have awareness of Trust policies and service specification.
This role offers a competitive salary of £62,035 - £83,542 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a range of benefits, including flexible working options, access to training and development opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.
