About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intelligence Officer to join our team at Counter Terrorism Policing. As an Intelligence Officer, you will play a critical role in researching, gathering, evaluating, developing, analysing and disseminating intelligence for a range of objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research and assessments on individuals identified as highest harm threats, providing accurate and timely intelligence to support operational activity.
  • Collaborate with Intelligence Analysts to gather, analyse and de-conflict intelligence, producing high-quality case files and subject profiles.
  • Identify intelligence gaps and develop intelligence requirements to support the effective use of the National Decision Model (NDM).
  • Support live operational activity with real-time research and evaluation of information, ensuring that intelligence is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Access Police systems and open source material to enhance the intelligence picture for individuals, working closely with Intelligence Analysts to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Handle covertly obtained material in accordance with identified policy and process, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Work closely with partner agencies to provide intelligence support to major covert investigations, sharing best practices and expertise to drive results.
  • Conduct intelligence debriefs as required, providing valuable insights and lessons learned to inform future operations.
  • Prepare RIPA applications, ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
