Teaching Opportunity: Teaching Personnel is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join their team in supporting vulnerable children with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching science in settings catering to children with SEMH and other complex needs.The role involves planning and delivering engaging science lessons tailored to the needs of students in Years 3-7, adapting teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning needs and behavioural challenges. A strong commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children is essential.
This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent position covering Years 3-7 across three closely located sites in the Wirral area. The successful candidate will be a resilient and compassionate professional with a passion for supporting learners who need a tailored approach to their education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons tailored to the needs of students in Years 3-7.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning needs and behavioural challenges.
- Provide a nurturing and supportive environment to foster both academic and personal growth.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching science, preferably in settings catering to children with special educational needs.
- A resilient, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching and classroom management.
- Familiarity with working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours.
Benefits:
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a competitive rate of pay, plus 12.07% statutory holiday pay. Teaching Personnel offers all their workers free child protection and prevent duty training. Candidates must undergo a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
