Austin Fraser is currently seeking an Industrial Equipment Technician to join their team. Located in England, this role comes with a competitive salary of £36,000 per annum, with the potential for OTE £48K+.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to work on various electrical equipment, including mains frequency channel furnaces. Based at our UK Service Centre in Birmingham, you will spend most of your time on customer sites in Europe and worldwide.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Test, install, commission, plan maintenance and fault find electrical equipment.
  2. Work alongside main contractors to supervise the installation of equipment.
  3. Lead teams, giving instructions and monitoring others.
  4. Create plans and schedules while monitoring and maintaining them.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Ability to read electrical, electronic and mechanical schematics and drawings.
  2. Understanding of electrical and electronic circuit theory.
  3. Comfortable making on-the-spot decisions and sharing information and decision-making with customers and office support personnel.
  4. Familiarity with electrical and electronic test equipment and tools.
  5. Computer literacy (report writing, email, presentation of data, etc).
  6. Clean UK driving licence.
  7. Good health and mobility.
  8. Understanding of, and rigid adherence to health and safety policies and safe working practices.
