Job Title: Assistant Category Manager, Baby

Harrison Scott Associates is seeking an experienced Assistant Category Manager to join our team in a key role. As Assistant Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving the vision and strategy for strategic sourcing of print and associated products for the EMEA region, with input into global strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement category sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
  2. Work closely with account teams to ensure that savings targets are met or exceeded in nominated accounts.
  3. Manage the dependencies between sourcing and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective handovers, supplier engagement, and involvement of the appropriate parties as part of project implementations.
  4. Provide thought leadership around supply chain strategies, product innovation, and market intelligence to drive business growth.
  5. Establish strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to negotiate contracts and drive best-in-class pricing.
  6. Support the development of category management responses to proposals and presentations outlining value to target clients of procurement management strategy.
  7. Review and revise the strategic approach to the category to deliver best-in-class pricing for the company and their clients through leveraging your network of Board-level industry contacts within the marketplace.
Key Skills:
  1. Ability to shape/influence the supply base within the market and detailed understanding of life cycle management.
  2. The ability to negotiate at all levels.
  3. In-depth understanding of colour management.
  4. Conversant with supply chain analysis and dynamics for one or more relevant product or service categories.
  5. Demonstrate highly developed relationship management skills and develop excellent client relationships.
