About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Abbey Court Care Home in Bourne, Lincolnshire. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our service users, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and their dining experience is enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Support the catering operation, including basic food preparation and cleaning duties.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, managing pressurized situations with professionalism and poise.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure seamless meal delivery and high-quality service.
Requirements
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work with colleagues and service users.
  • Enthusiasm and energy, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Flexibility and a strong 'can-do' attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Previous experience in catering, with a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable but not essential).
