About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mergers and Acquisitions Director to join our team at MDM Resourcing. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for leading multiple acquisitions per year from start to close, collaborating with business owners on key issues and roadblocks along the way.

Job Description

Your primary focus will be on:

  • Meeting with software owners to evaluate alignment with our acquisition criteria and determine prospective company valuations
  • Leading 5+ acquisition processes per year from origination to closing, analyzing financial data and preparing financial valuation models
  • Leading diligence efforts to surface key risks and opportunities in target businesses, effectively managing outside vendors as needed
  • Negotiating key legal and other commercial agreements, such as SPA and working capital mechanisms
  • Managing post-acquisition integration, implementing our best practices and capitalizing on opportunities surfaced during diligence
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ACA/CFA qualification, ideally with a Big Four accounting firm and strong understanding of financial diligence processes
  • 5-10 years in corporate development/in-house M&A, preferably working with technology companies or in an acquisition-focused consolidator
  • Proven ability to negotiate legal agreements and other commercial principles, as well as financial literacy and ability to build presentations for executive team/board-level audiences
  • Ability to quickly evaluate key risks and opportunities in a business, negotiate and execute acquisitions with business owners/executives
