Join Our Team as a Laboratory Technician

Spectro | Jet-Care, a leading provider of condition monitoring services, is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. With over 45 years of experience, we offer a comprehensive range of services, including oil, hydraulic fluid, fuel, debris, and filter analysis, as well as engine trend monitoring by gas path analysis.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and testing samples of oil, lubricants, fuel, and other materials. You will also maintain quality control checks, adhere to good laboratory practices, and assist with general housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of chemical solvent and control/calibration of samples
  • Preparation of test samples and sample testing
  • Maintaining quality control checks
  • Maintaining good laboratory practices and assisting with general housekeeping duties
  • Disposal of used chemicals and test samples
Requirements:
  • Interest in Chemistry (degree in a scientific discipline, normally Chemistry, for senior positions)
  • Technical background and analytical experience in the oil industry and commercial laboratories (for senior positions)
  • Neat handwriting and a good standard of both Maths and English
  • PC literate, with experience in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with and commitment to quality assurance
Working Hours:

We offer a range of working shifts to suit your needs, including:

  • Option 1: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break
  • Option 2: A four-week rota, including normal daytime shifts, Saturday shifts, and late shifts
  • Option 3: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break, and a Very Early Shift from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
