Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician with a maintenance background to join our client's team in a days-based role, Monday to Friday, with optional overtime and exceptional career growth. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical maintenance on a wide range of machinery, ensuring the safe and smooth operation of production equipment and attending to breakdowns as needed.



Key Responsibilities

  2. Perform general planned maintenance, breakdown, and fault-finding tasks to ensure the efficient operation of production equipment.
  3. Work collaboratively with experienced engineers to maintain and repair complex machinery.
  4. Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize production.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:



  2. A strong background in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Relevant mechanical qualifications and a full UK driving license.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.


Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary, with an estimated range of £35,000 - £40,000 + overtime, plus industry-relevant training, company pension, additional company leave, and great company benefits. The role is based in Prudhoe and surrounding areas, with commutable locations including Wylam, Blaydon, Whickham, High Spen, Greenside, and Tanfield.
