Data Engineering Team

We are building a Data Engineering team to support our clients' needs around data origination, governance, and lifecycle. You will work closely with our clients' front office and technology teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Interact with clients' front office to understand and scope new data needs or capabilities.
  • Evaluate and analyze various industry data sets to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement data automation tasks and processes to increase efficiency.
  • Develop and implement best-practice data governance methodology to ensure data quality.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and create data quality rules to ensure data integrity.
  • Operate and build out the data platform using in-house and vendor data tools.
  • Analyze metadata and curate data catalogues to support data discoverability.
  • Provide day-to-day data subject matter expert support for the front office across various data sets.
Requirements
  • Experience in a data specialist role with a passion for working with data and helping stakeholders leverage its value.
  • Highly proficient in SQL and Python with demonstrable work experience using both languages.
  • Ability to produce high-quality analysis while managing complexity.
  • High attention to detail and a drive for excellence.
  • Effective work prioritization and efficient task management.
  • Intellectual curiosity, initiative, solution-oriented mindset, and a desire to learn.
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to work as an integral part of the wider data team.
  • Ability to complete tasks independently to a high standard with minimal oversight.
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-experts.
  • A desire to understand and solve business problems, build domain knowledge, and increase market understanding.
  • Financial Services experience is a bonus, but not essential.
  • A minimum 2.1 degree in Computer Science or a related field, ideally from a Russell Group University.
