Actuarial Analyst

XPS Group, a leading UK consulting and administration business, is seeking an experienced Actuarial Assistant to join its vibrant Belfast office with hybrid working. This role would be ideal for a nearly or newly qualified actuary looking to grow in their career.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals, delivering high-quality actuarial services to clients. As an Actuarial Assistant, you will attend client meetings, review actuarial calculations, draft reports, and maintain a good understanding of relevant technical issues. You will also take a proactive role in personal development/training, attending internal technical training sessions, and demonstrating application of learning.
We estimate the salary for this role to be around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the location. The exact salary will depend on the individual's experience and qualifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Attending client meetings and presenting actuarial findings
- Reviewing actuarial calculations and drafting reports
- Maintaining a good understanding of relevant technical issues
- Taking a proactive role in personal development/training
Requirements:
- Newly or nearly qualified as an Actuary
- Broad understanding of how UK pensions schemes operate
- Excellent planning skills with the ability to prioritise and complete work in accordance with deadlines
- Strong IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Office suite of products, particularly Excel
