Job Overview

This is a full-time opportunity to join our team as an experienced optical dispenser in Oxford and surrounding areas. The role involves supporting the optometrist, conducting eye examinations, and dispensing glasses and contact lenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages.
  • Detect and diagnose various eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration.
  • Dispense glasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids according to prescriptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and treatments.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as an optical assistant or dispenser.
  • A sympathetic approach and empathy when interacting with patients.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An excellent knowledge of eye care and visual health.
