About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Complex Care Support Worker to join our team at Radis Community Care. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to a gentleman with a neurodegenerative disorder and other health conditions.

The successful candidate will work with a friendly and supportive team of professionals to develop their skills and knowledge in complex care. You will also have the opportunity to build a trusting and respectful relationship with the gentleman and his family, who are very hands-on and helpful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to the gentleman, including assistance with medication, PEG feed, oxygen therapy, and other medical equipment.
  • Support the gentleman with activities in and outside of the home, depending on his condition and preferences.
  • Work with a Registered Nurse to develop and implement care plans that meet the gentleman's individual needs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in complex care.

Requirements:

  • Kind, caring, and patient approach to care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and positive attitude.
  • Good attention to detail and observation skills.
  • Experience in supporting individuals with complex care needs, or willingness to undergo training and supervision.
