About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our Infrastructure team at Gleeds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

As a Project Controls Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from infrastructure development to commercial construction, and contribute to the success of our clients and communities.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Undertake rolling wave planning and resource loading for assigned projects and work scopes
  • Utilise team inputs to create and track plans and schedules, perform risk exploration, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Responsible for detailed schedule exploration of network logic and critical path, and work with cross-functional program teams to resolve conflicts
  • Perform 'what if' scenarios for employee program management teams, and ensure that management understanding of network logic, Gantt, milestone lists, and resource information in the schedule
  • Develop and maintain scheduling procedures for assigned programs, and utilise Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management, and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Specialist with a strong background in planning and project management. You will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, and a strong understanding of project controls principles and practices. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key qualifications and experience include:

  • Previous major projects experience and ability to provide support and guidance across multiple live projects
  • Experience within project controls with a focus on planning, ideally within a consultancy
  • Experience in Primavera P6, with experience in Asta Powerproject and MSP beneficial
  • Strong Excel competence to produce dashboards and supporting data visualization to P6 programmes
