We are seeking a highly skilled Fiscal Technician to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Fiscal Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Process and reconcile financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and credit card statements.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in our automated financial management system.
- Assist with special projects, including financial reporting and analysis.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of financial software and systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience with Cardinal or similar automated financial management systems.
- Knowledge of GAAP and government accounting principles.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
