Plant Maintenance Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team at TRADEBE. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks in accordance with company procedures and ensure all relevant documentation is completed and filed.
  • Identify and report defects on all aspects of the plant and site, and work with the Plant Manager to develop plans to rectify issues before they affect the running of the process and site.
  • Assist with the planning of weekend work and shutdowns, and work with the Plant Manager to produce shutdown plans.
  • Ensure all maintenance spares are replenished before stock runs out, and work with the Plant Manager to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Plant Manager to train and guide plant operators in their routine maintenance duties, and assist with the training of personnel on the plant.
  • Liaise with the Plant Manager regarding maintenance issues, and be available for out-of-hours call-outs as required.
Requirements:
  • Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship or similar (Electrical an advantage but not essential).
  • Welding skills would be advantageous.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience of continuous processing equipment.
  • Permit to work systems.
  • PPM Maintenance systems.
  • Experience of working in the waste industry/with heavy process equipment beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Legislation.

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
  • Monday - Friday shifts.
  • Annual target bonus - 8%.
