Commercial Quantity Surveyor

A competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum is available for this hybrid role based in our Whitburn office. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will work from home/office and on-site, Monday to Friday, typically 8.00am-4.00pm (40 hours per week).

This dynamic role requires an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Social Housing Planned and Responsive repairs works programs. Your expertise will be shared with colleagues as we grow due to an increase in long-term frameworks.

• Obtain and evaluate information to ensure realistic costs for designated projects.
• Liaise with Contractors, Suppliers and Clients to ensure information, costs, profitability and value meet project requirements.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts for designated projects.
• Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
• Liaise with Contract Managers to establish project specifications and requirements.
• Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and Clients when necessary, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Monitor contract progress, assess and report changes affecting project costs and time scales.
• Assist in controlling contract budgets.
