About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Harnham. The successful candidate will lead the development of data science models, integrating them into product features and optimizing and deploying machine learning models for performance and scalability.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in data science or a related field, with proven experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, as well as proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib) and cloud platforms (preferably AWS), are essential.

In addition, the successful candidate will be an expert in statistics and machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn), familiar with Git and collaborative workflows, and have experience in product experimentation, including A/B testing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of data science models, integrating them into product features.
  • Optimize and deploy machine learning models, ensuring performance and scalability.
  • Monitor and improve model performance post-deployment.
  • Collaborate with product teams to define key metrics and analyze user behavior.
  • Design and implement A/B tests to evaluate new features and improvements.
  • Stay updated with the latest in data science and drive research initiatives.
  • Write clean, maintainable code, enforcing coding standards and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure technical quality.
  • Presentation of complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data science or a related field.
  • Proven experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib) and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
  • Expertise in statistics and machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows.
  • Experience in product experimentation, including A/B testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate data insights into actionable solutions.
  • Passion for solving customer problems, with a love for data and sports.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work cross-functionally.

Location and Salary

This role is based in London and offers a salary of up to £90,000, depending on experience.
