Financial Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial professional to join our team as Charity Treasurer. As a key member of our Board of Trustees, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial direction of Music of Life Foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial affairs of the charity, ensuring sound and transparent financial management.
  • Supervise the contracted bookkeeper and volunteer administrator, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Lead the finance and financial risk committee, making informed decisions regarding investment and risk management.
  • Liaise with our independent examiner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the Board's growth plans, helping Music of Life Foundation support more children in special needs schools across the UK.
  • Provide financial information to support successful funding applications.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with experience in small or medium-sized organisations.
  • Knowledge of charity accounting (SORP - Statement of Recommended Practice) is an advantage but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey financial information effectively to the Board and CEO.
