Job Description:
Prospero Teaching is partnering with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK to provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.
We are seeking a Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent to provide Maths and English support on a 1:1 basis to students who are not currently accessing mainstream education. The students have a diagnosis of ADHD, ASD, and Autism.
The Tutor will need to assess the students' current ability and reintroduce education into their routine while a suitable school provision is found. Lessons will take place either in a local Library or the young person's home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Maths and English support to students with SEND on a 1:1 basis
* Assess students' current ability and develop a plan to reintroduce education into their routine
* Work with students who have a diagnosis of ADHD, ASD, and Autism
* Collaborate with Local Councils and SEND teams to ensure a smooth transition for students
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
* Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
* UK classroom teaching experience
* Ability to be creative, patient, and think outside the box
To be eligible for this role, the Tutor must:
* Hold the right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional child-related references
