Octane Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency specialising in the automotive industry. We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Diagnostic Expert to join our team in Taunton.

Job Description

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle makes and models.

The salary for this role is up to £34,560 + Bonus (OTE £42,500), reflecting the high level of skill and expertise required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems.

We offer a 35-hour contract with Monday to Friday working hours and 1 in 4 Saturdays, providing a great work-life balance.

">About the Role

As a Mobile Vehicle Diagnostic Expert, you will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing and repairing vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Using diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 2 equivalent or higher qualification in vehicle technology.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a vehicle technician.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
