About the Role:

Mercer is seeking a talented and ambitious Risk Transfer Consultant to join our expanding team in the UK. As a key member of our Risk Transfer team, you will provide clients with expert advice on the journey to buy-in, broking the market, and winding up schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a portfolio of clients to help them achieve their buyout and winding up objectives.
  • Develop and prepare project plans, and have input into setting budgets.
  • Project manage a portfolio of clients to co-ordinate all relevant teams and client stakeholders.
  • Support the development of more junior colleagues.

Requirements:

  • A background in risk transfer, bulk annuity broking, and pension scheme wind ups is preferable.
  • An understanding of the journey to buyout for pensions schemes, including key considerations.
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills, with a proven track record of client exposure.
  • A strong sense of team working, and a willingness to learn new skills and be adaptable in a changing environment.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent project management and organisational abilities.
