Job Title: Digital Solutions Architect
Salary: Up to £100,000 DOE
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Friday, flexible between 8:30am – 6:00pm
Break Details: 1-hour unpaid
Work Model: Remote with occasional client site visits in London
Purpose of this Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Solutions Architect to design and architect digital solutions that align with Government Service Design principles and the Government's Technology Code of Practice. This role will involve providing guidance and support to the delivery team throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Define and document the solution architecture, including functional and non-functional requirements, high-level design, integration points, security aspects, and deployment strategy.
- Design and oversee the transformation, development, testing, and implementation of solution components, ensuring adherence to architecture and quality standards.
- Ensure relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices (including security and privacy) are applied correctly.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the delivery team, resolving issues and challenges that may arise during the project.
- AWS Certified Solutions - Associate (Must)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (Desirable but willing to undertake)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in designing and delivering digital solutions, preferably for public sector or regulatory clients or in a public sector or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge and experience in various digital technologies, such as cloud computing, web and mobile development, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, internet of things, etc.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Lean).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance trade-offs and risks.
- Certifications in relevant technologies or domains are a plus, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect certifications, TOGAF, etc.
