About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Therapy Service as a Senior Therapist, providing specialist support to victims of sexual violence. The successful candidate will work with clients across Derbyshire, offering one-to-one therapy sessions and therapeutic assessments.

As a Senior Therapist, you will be part of a multi-agency team, working closely with other professionals to provide empathetic and proactive therapy services to child and adult victims of sexual abuse. This includes pre-trial therapy, regardless of when the abuse occurred.

The role involves fostering strong therapeutic alliances with clients and their families, promoting a high-quality service that meets the unique needs of each individual. You will hold a recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy (Diploma Level 4) and have extensive knowledge of rape, sexual abuse, and trauma syndrome within a therapeutic setting.

We are looking for an experienced professional with at least two years' experience working specifically with these client groups, including 300 hours of post-qualifying counselling practice. A registration with BACP or a similar professional body is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality one-to-one therapy sessions and therapeutic assessments to clients across Derbyshire.
  • Develop and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-agency team to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Foster a culture of empathy and understanding within the team.
