About the Role

Connex Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students in a primary school setting. As a key member of the educational team, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with classroom management and supervision of students.
  • Provide instructional support to students, including reinforcing lessons and offering extra practice.
  • Prepare teaching materials, such as visual aids and worksheets.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and grading assignments.
  • Support students with special educational needs or disabilities.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and support students in developing positive social skills.
  • Communicate with parents or caregivers to provide updates on student progress.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people, either in a school or alternative setting.
  • Level 2 in Teaching and Learning or working towards this qualification.
  • Current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to provide a new one.
  • Ability to provide references for all work in the last 2 years.
