Job Title: Development & Solutions Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Development & Solutions Lead to join our team at AGS Cyber. As a key member of our digital solutions team, you will be responsible for leading the development of innovative digital solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of digital solutions, working closely with clients to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Design and implement solutions using a range of digital approaches, including websites, applications, and API integrations.
  • Support the development team and other teams in the design, implementation, and support of digital services.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on-time, on-brief, and to the agreed standard.
  • Manage workload and schedules, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Position yourself as an expert consultant in the digital transformation, architecture, and solutions space.
  • Lead workshops with clients to conduct effective discovery and gather requirements.
  • Attend client calls, huddles, and input into WIPs as required.
  • Travel to client sites across the UK and internationally as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a software developer, with an understanding of different development languages and frameworks (ideally web-based technologies, with a JavaScript focus such as Reactjs).
  • Experience and understanding of data structures and databases, including SQL, GraphQL, and MongoDB.
  • An understanding of hosting infrastructure for websites and applications, including cloud-based architecture, serverless, and microservices.
  • An understanding of domains, DNS, routing, HTTP headers.
  • Understanding of security considerations and technologies, with experience to advise clients on the most secure approach to their solution.
  • Understanding of different types of APIs, including REST, GraphQL, and SOAP.
  • Experience with version control (ideally git).
  • Understanding and experience implementing projects with the software development lifecycle.
