Crisis Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Crisis Nurse to provide immediate mental health support and intervention to individuals experiencing a crisis in Cumbria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals in crisis to identify their needs and develop effective intervention plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization techniques to help individuals manage their symptoms and regain control of their lives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop crisis management plans and ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Offer emotional support and counseling to individuals and their families to promote healing and recovery.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate mental health services and resources to ensure individuals receive the support they need.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of interventions and progress to inform care decisions and improve outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Experience in mental health crisis intervention and a strong understanding of crisis management principles
  • Excellent assessment and crisis management skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Empathy and compassion for individuals in crisis, with a commitment to providing person-centered care
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from £35 to £48, depending on your experience and qualifications. This role provides an opportunity for professional growth and development within a supportive and dynamic team.
