Main Responsibilities
As a Professional Nurse at Mediclinic Newcastle, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Essential: Degree/Diploma in General Nursing with Midwifery.
- Desirable: Postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty area.
- Minimum 1 year post-graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialized unit.
Skills and Knowledge
- Infection prevention and control.
- Pharmacology.
- Scientific nursing principles and processes.
- Nursing record keeping.
- Patient assessment skills.
- Nursing processes and procedures.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
- Basic life support training (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialized wards).
