Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Police Custody and Security Officer to join our team in Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to make a difference in the community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the care, welfare, security, and escort of persons in custody, in accordance with standard operating procedures and relevant legislation. They will also undertake the role of Custody Officer where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process, procedures, and security of all productions retained for possible use at court.
  • Provide a custodier service in relation to lost, found, and stolen property.
  • Support the administration of various criminal justice processes, including the processing and maintenance of warrants and other legal documents.
  • Review and transmit standard prosecution reports and other associated documents.
  • Create, maintain, and quality assure criminal justice records.
  • Support Local Policing by carrying out administrative functions associated with public counter services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have been resident in the UK for a minimum of three years immediately prior to application. You must also be a British citizen, a member of the EU or other states in the EEA, a Commonwealth citizen, or a foreign national free of restrictions.
