Commercial Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a leading regional civil infrastructure contractor. This role offers a unique chance to work on a variety of civil infrastructure, water, and environmental construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects, including general civils, water, and environmental works.
  • Monitor project costs, identify potential cost overruns, and implement cost-control measures to ensure projects remain on budget.
  • Review contracts, negotiate terms, and manage subcontractor agreements to optimise project profitability.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify variations, and verify quantities for payment purposes.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to forecast project costs and financial performance.
  • Prepare timely and accurate progress reports, financial forecasts, and cost analyses for project stakeholders.
  • Assist with claims management, dispute resolution, and contract administration as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil infrastructure construction, with a focus on general civils, water, and environmental projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost-control techniques, NEC4 experience would be preferred.
  • Willingness to travel across the region to site and office locations as required.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS) is advantageous but not essential.
