Job Title: Veterinary Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at GLG Vets in Morpeth, Northumberland. As part of our vibrant and growing veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional veterinary care to animals while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, conducting routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals. You will also perform surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries. In addition, you will collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a range of animal species.
  • Conduct surgical procedures as required, including elective and emergency operations.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on animal welfare, nutrition, and health.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.

Qualifications and Skills:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a veterinary degree from a recognized institution, a valid veterinary license to practice in the UK, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team and independently. A compassionate and caring approach to animals is essential.

Benefits:
This role offers a competitive salary up to £65,000 depending on experience, annual leave plus Bank Holidays, CPD allowance, VDS, RCVS and BVA fees paid, and more.
