We are seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency Specialist to join our team at Ocean Housing. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering our energy investment programme, working closely with the Property Services Manager (Energy).

The programme aims to invest up to £52m between 2022 and 2050 in over 4,000 properties, with the goal of upgrading all qualifying Ocean properties to an EPC 'C' rating by 2030 and net-zero by 2050.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting and processing energy data from our properties, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in value for money programmes.
  • Procuring contractors and monitoring progress, reporting on the delivery of energy programmes.
  • Ensuring all works are completed on time and within budget.

You will hold a degree in Building Surveying or equivalent, along with a Retrofit Coordinator and Retrofit Assessor qualification. A Domestic Energy Assessment qualification is also essential, as is a full driving licence.

A strong background in domestic energy assessment, advising on energy efficiency, environmental impact, and sustainable construction is required, along with knowledge of current energy efficiency investment measures for social homes. You will also need experience in managing projects from start to finish, on budget and to schedule.

Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office packages and CAD, are necessary, as well as the ability to plan and produce high-quality programmes of energy works.
