We are seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement Manager to join our team at Elevation Recruitment Group. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing a £72 million budget for categories such as fleet, hotels, property, and stationery.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead a team of four Assistant Procurement Managers, develop procurement strategies, and build strong relationships with other departments. You will be responsible for creating and implementing procurement plans, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring all procurement activities follow company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve efficiency.
  • Manage a team of four Assistant Procurement Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful delivery of procurement activities.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms and quality.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in indirect procurement, preferably in fields such as engineering, logistics, construction, or manufacturing.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills, able to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
