Job Title: Estimator for Water Projects - Contract Basis

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the water industry and be able to work closely with our bid team to ensure competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage risk and value during the tender period, preparing budgets and cost plans.
  • Prepare material and sub-contract enquiries, including the selection of prospective subcontractors.
  • Attend strategy/opportunity meetings with project teams and visit sites to identify site-specific risks.
  • Adjudicate and compare sub-contractor quotations, and manage risk throughout the tender period.
  • Presentation of the tender to senior management at tender settlement meetings.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate construction-related degree or similar.
  • Competent use of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience of using estimating software.
  • Well-developed technical construction knowledge.
