Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at PP Associates Ltd. The successful candidate will provide high-quality assessment, intervention, and support for children with a range of developmental, physical, and sensory needs. This role is integral in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's occupational performance and participation.
  2. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment findings.
  3. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  4. Provide therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices, including sensory integration and fine motor skill development.
  5. Monitor and evaluate progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  7. Provide training and support to parents and caregivers to promote skills transfer in daily activities.
  8. Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and supervision sessions.
  9. Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement projects.
  10. Keep abreast of current research and best practices in paediatric occupational therapy.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:

  1. Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent).
  2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  3. Experience working with children in a clinical or community setting.
  4. Knowledge of child development and common paediatric conditions affecting occupational performance.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desired Skills:
  1. Specialisation in areas such as sensory processing, neurodevelopmental disorders, or autism spectrum disorders is an advantage.
  2. Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
  3. Familiarity with relevant legislation and policies related to children's services.
