Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Utility Surveyor to join our team at Murphy. As a key member of our Geomatics team, you will play a vital role in undertaking high-quality utility surveys using the latest technologies and equipment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced surveyor to take on a challenging role that requires strong technical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities. You will be responsible for conducting site visits and client meetings to assist in job quotations and tendering stage of larger projects, advising projects on best survey methods to meet project requirements, handling and processing geospatial data within the sub-surface environment, and supporting other team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake high-quality utility surveys in various environments using the latest EM and GPR technologies and equipment.
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings to assist in job quotations and tendering stage of larger projects.
  • Advise projects on best survey methods to meet project requirements.
  • Handle and process geospatial data within the sub-surface environment.
  • Support other team members as needed.

Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of GPR and underground surveying.
  • Ability to use EML and GPR with high proficiency.
  • Understanding and knowledge of PAS128.
  • Ability to understand and analyse asset owner record drawings.

  • An estimated salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum based on experience.
