RPS Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer or Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions for various projects.

About the Role:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for new build and refurbishment construction projects.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and technicians to ensure design and drawing accuracy.
  • Work with electrical associates to survey, design, specify, and administer contracts.
  • Conduct site inspections and report on electrical building services systems.
  • Utilize building services software for calculations and ensure design and maintenance meet legislative and health and safety requirements.
  • Produce marked-up drawings for CAD and direct CAD design drawings for issue.
  • Select and specify products, equipment, and installation standards for electrical services.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in electrical design and engineering, with knowledge of IET or CIBSE requirements.
  • Proficient in Amtech and AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of Building Regulations Part L compliance.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
