Catering Services Assistant

About the Role
CDD Services (Synchronicity Care Ltd) is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Catering Services Assistant. As a key member of our food services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective provision of meal ordering, beverages, and meals to patients at ward level.
Key Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the Food Services Manager to reheat nutritious and appetizing meals for all patients, adhering to the highest possible standards of nutritional, temperature, quality, presentation, hygiene, and safety.
- Be involved in the electronic patient meal ordering process and ensure high standards of food service, reheating of food, and quality control throughout.
- Assist with the receipt, quality assurance, and stock control of goods received from the Central Production Unit, adhering to stock rotation practices and kitchen HACCP.
- Assist in hygiene audits and cleaning schedules inspections for your area of work, liaising with the Food Service Supervisors to ensure any remedial work is carried out.
- Assist in the general cleaning of crockery and kitchen utensils using the dishwashing machine and by hand when required.
Person Specification
- Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene or working towards it.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision following set procedures.
