About the Role

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a highly skilled Site Manager to join our Substation Build Team in Hertfordshire. As a key partner in the UKPN Alliance, we deliver substation build and refurbishment works across the East of England, including design, project management, cable installation, building construction, jointing, switchgear, bunding, commissioning, decommissioning, and demolition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, including site operatives, subcontractors, and site work
  • Develop and implement safety documentation, including Health and Safety Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments
  • Identify training requirements for site personnel and ensure compliance
  • Liaise with clients, including audits and progress meetings
  • Procure materials using computer-based systems
  • Notify line managers of possible variations and maintain contemporary records
  • Compile documents and As-Built records for handover files
Requirements
  • Qualified to HNC/ Degree Level in Construction, Civil Engineering, or an Electrical discipline or equivalent
  • CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme
  • Temporary Works Supervisor
  • Background in construction and the electricity industry
  • Competency to work in substations up to 132kV
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Knowledge of current legislation relating to Health, Safety, and Environment
  • Cost/Value reporting exposure
  • IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Full valid driving license
