Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Biomedical Scientist with expertise in histology to join our small, friendly team at the Specialist Bone and Soft Tissue Histopathology Department at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
The successful candidate will have the IBMS Specialist Diploma in Histopathology or equivalent knowledge and experience in histology. They will be responsible for performing all aspects of histopathology laboratory technical work, supervising and training staff, performing quality control, troubleshooting, and performing specialist techniques.
Main Duties
As a Biomedical Scientist in this role, you will be involved in all aspects of the histopathology laboratory, including:
- Performing histopathology laboratory technical work
- Supervising and training staff
- Performing quality control
- Troubleshooting
- Performing specialist techniques
