Job Summary
Barnfield Hill Surgery is seeking a skilled Healthcare Assistant to join our nursing team. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing team in delivering exceptional services.
Main Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical care under the indirect supervision of registered practitioners
- Undertaking client assessments following delegation from a registered nurse
- Assisting doctors with minor operations and procedures
- Performing ECG recordings, phlebotomy, and other clinically specific duties
- Supporting the nursing team in delivering a range of services, including health checks, vaccinations, and wound care
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
- Experience of working in a General Practice setting
- Qualification in phlebotomy and/or other relevant clinical skills
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols
